You will be spied while playing Minecraft

Minecraft has been a great hit among all games. Mojang kept the hype continuing by adding a new feature every day. Notch, the creator of the game, said that he wanted to find out about players and intending to incorporate some system to track the player in game.

He said that he wanted to add a tracking system to the game. This tracking system would keep the game connected to Minecraft.net server. This system keep sending some messages and other data to the server which include mode of the game being played, OS being used, duration of play and what type of game (downloaded or applet) is being played.

As of now, Mojang is tracking only data related to login. Since this idea is sensitive in nature, Notch asked all players to comment on the idea in his blog. He reiterated that the data will not have any sensitive aspects such as your username.
