Suing cloners, who just rip the original developments off, have always been in the list of patent registered companies. But in contrast, when it was speculated that few cloners had tried to clone the game developed by Mojang, the latter was found to be pretty cool with the news. To be precise, Mojang’s head was interviewed with reference to the reports of their game, Minecraft, getting cloned.
Mojang’s business boss, Daniel Kaplan was spotted quoting in an interview that the company simply doesn’t care for anything regarding cloning, unless the other party uses something that is made by Mojang, and in turn showed dissatisfaction towards cloners for not bringing in changes in original versions while cloning. When mentioned by the interviewers that the cloners around do give the slightest of the touches for differentiating the look from the original one, Minecraft, he simply put an example mentioning FPS. He asked the interviewers, if the Doom would ever sue everyone around who has done FPS. This reply ultimately forbade the interviewers to intervene and go further for differences between iteration and cloning.
It’s been a while, since Tiny Tower creators and its game’s fans showed their strong dissatisfaction towards Zynga and Glu Mobile for their launch of clones of the game a couple of weeks back. Moreover, when it comes to cloned apps used in high-end smartphones, we all get stuck over iOS universe, where the Temple Run’s pseudo-cloned versions were made available, which was later removed from the App Store by Apple Inc.
