LEGO officially announces MInecraft themed sets

It’s no new news that Mojang’s Minecraft has always attracted many other game developers. Same is the case with Lego too. It was only a matter of time till everyone expected Lego to step into a project that might be Minecraft inspired or a Minecraft collaborated game. There’s good news for PC set gamers. Lego made an official declaration on Friday that the company is soon going to provide a few sets based on Minecraft.

It’s quite predictable that you can’t stop imagining what the set is going to feature and how it would look like. Well, all you have to do is to wait till this summer to see it, but prior to it, I’d take you in a brief trip of the set. According to Lego, the set is going to feature an addictive environment just like Minecraft does. In addition to it, he said that the game would have four cubic modular vignettes, which when connected, would recreate the block.

The company named the game as Lego Minecraft Micro World. The game stars Steve, and a Creeper, the classic characters from the Minecraft game. Moreover, the game model would be featured in such a way that it’d be possible for the builder to build the Minecraft world his way.

The story behind the game’s inception is even more interesting. A group of four Lego fans, Chris Malloy, Michael Thomas, Kyle Tingey, and Bjarne Panduro Tveskov first proposed the game’s idea on Lego CUUSOO idea collection platform, which was then followed by a support of 10,000 votes in a poll. When they approached Mojang’s founder, Markus Notch Persson, with the idea, he simply got so excited after seeing it, that he didn’t even thought twice before approving it.
